1 – 1 Dog Training

Whether you have a new puppy or an adult dog, if you’re looking for help from basic training to tackling specific issues then book a 1-1 dog training session with Hanne Grice.

1-1 dog training can be booked in one hour slots either as a one-off session with Hanne – or – depending on your specific needs, book a course of sessions which will be tailored to you and your dog.

During COVID-19: Video conferencing service

In accordance to the advice from the government, 1-1 training is currently being conducted via video conferencing.  This enables you to see Hanne and share her screen for notes, as well as Hanne to see you and your dog and guide your through the training.

Your training sessions include:

– Discussing you and your dog’s individual needs.
– Creating a bespoke session program to set you and your dog up for success.
– Practical training elements.
Action plan and handouts to follow between your training sessions.

The frequency of your sessions are flexible according to your dog’s progress. 1-1 dog training is suited to all dogs of any age.  See below for a snippet from a real 1-1 training session with puppy Peggy.

Note: If you are experiencing a number of pet problems or extreme behaviours, we recommend you have a look at a programme of behaviour modification with our 1-1 consultation process.  You can find out more about this by clicking onto the Behavioural Consultation page.

Training venues & COVID-19:

For in-person 1-1 training, this typically takes place in the client’s home and our Puppy & Dog Schools are located in  Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.  Due to restrictions relating to COVID-19, it is not currently permissible to come to clients’ homes for training nor hold group classes.  However, clients can either choose to have a remote 1-1 training session OR trainers can work with their clients at the trainer’s private venue, adhering to the 2m distancing rules and following appropriate sanitising measures.  We have a private training venue in Oxfordshire for clients that would like to meet in-person.  Please contact us to discuss if you would like further information on this.

Depending on the training needs we typically recommend you allow up to 1.5 hours for the initial 1-1 face to face training session (@£60) to allow for any troubleshooting questions you may have, cover learning theory in brief, and practical training.  Payment should be made via BACS transfer, and payments should be made prior to your appointment.
